During the Lunar New Year of the Tiger this year, Da Nang welcomed over 36,000 visitors, a 17% increase compared to last year, which is a very positive sign for the city's tourism industry.
During a visit to extend New Year greetings to the Da Nang International Airport Terminal Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Company (AHT) on February 8th, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, affirmed that in 2022, the city's economic activities in general, and tourism and services in particular, will certainly undergo changes. Accordingly, Da Nang plans to restore all flights and tourism and service activities to serve tourists in March.

In addition, the tourism sector has proposed that Da Nang's leaders allow the reopening of some non-essential activities closely related to tourism that have been temporarily closed for many months, such as spas, massage parlors, and karaoke (excluding nightclubs), at tourist establishments and areas with a safe level of the pandemic.
During a meeting with the Da Nang City Department of Tourism on February 9th, representatives of the Tourism Association expressed their desire for Da Nang leaders and the Department of Tourism to be more proactive in policies for reopening tourism and in communicating information about the epidemic, so that tourists can feel secure when traveling to Da Nang.
Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, said that association members have discussed with member businesses and the aviation industry to develop a promotional plan and stimulus program for when Da Nang tourism resumes. The stimulus program is expected to be held around the end of February. Da Nang tourism businesses plan to boost domestic tourism from March and attract international tourists from April 2022.
