29/04/2020

The Imperial Citadel and mausoleums of the Nguyen Dynasty kings will open to visitors from 7am on April 30, after a month and a half of closure due to the pandemic.

Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that visitors to relic sites must wear masks, have their temperature measured at the entrance, wash their hands with sanitizer, and limit traveling in groups of more than 30 people.

To prepare for the opening, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center will mobilize all staff to clean and disinfect the relic sites on the afternoon of April 29.

Since April 27, Thua Thien Hue has allowed tourist attractions and scenic spots to reopen. However, many locations remain closed due to lack of visitors.

To prevent Covid-19, from March 14, the complex of Hue ancient capital relics including the Imperial City, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, Nguyen Dynasty royal tombs... closed. Normally, these places welcome thousands of domestic and foreign visitors every day.
