The Imperial Citadel and the tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty kings will reopen to visitors from 7:00 AM on April 30th, after a month and a half of closure due to the pandemic.

Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Director of the Hue Ancient Citadel Relics Conservation Center, said that tourists visiting historical sites must wear masks, have their temperature checked at the entrance, sanitize their hands, and limit themselves to groups of more than 30 people.

To prepare for the reopening, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relics Conservation Center will mobilize all its staff and employees to clean and disinfect the historical sites on the afternoon of April 29th.

From April 27th, Thua Thien Hue province allowed tourist attractions and scenic spots to reopen. However, many places remain closed due to a lack of visitors.

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, the complex of historical relics in Hue, including the Imperial Citadel, the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, and the tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, has been closed since March 14th. Normally, these places welcome thousands of domestic and international visitors every day.
