As for the young man, upon hearing the news, he also decided to jump into the abyss where the girl had fallen to be reunited with her. The tears of sorrow from both of them created the fullness of Lake Sayram today. And because of this, the lake is also known as "the last tear of the Atlantic."

Each season, Lake Sayram takes on a new appearance. However, June to November is the ideal time to visit. During this period, flocks of swans come here to feed and enter their mating season. On the shore, many herds of sheep and cattle belonging to nomadic people graze peacefully. The harmonious blend of life in this wild steppe creates a vibrant "masterpiece" of Sayram.
In July and August, Mongolians and Kazakhs gather in the fields to celebrate the Nadam festival. The event lasts six days and includes competitions such as horse racing, wrestling, and archery. Herders from the surrounding area also participate in the festival, dressed in traditional ethnic costumes. In addition, the event features various cultural performances such as dancing, singing, and a "girl-chasing" competition.

Besides experiencing local cultural festivals, visitors can enjoy horseback riding or boating for around 20 CNY (70,000 VND) per day. With its picturesque scenery, Sayram Lake attracts many tourists for wedding photoshoots and honeymoons.
Sayram Lake is one of the four most beautiful lakes in Xinjiang, alongside Kanas, Ulungur, and Bostan. The entrance fee to visit the lake is 10 CNY (approximately 35,000 VND).
To get here, visitors can take domestic flights, a 4-hour journey from Beijing to Urumqi. There are approximately 14 flights daily connecting the two cities. After arriving in Urumqi, you can take a bus from Yining Station on Jiefang Road to Sayram Lake. The journey takes about 3 hours.
