French architectural influences on Phu Quoc Island.

Located on the southwestern coast of Phu Quoc, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc - MGallery Collection is a boutique resort with a distinctive classic French architectural style. In 2025, this resort was honored as Asia's Leading Boutique Resort and ranked among the Top 10 Best Resorts in Vietnam, recognizing its efforts in maintaining its design identity and service experience.

Old French villas nestled in a tropical setting.

The resort is designed as a French-style seaside mansion, surrounded by tropical gardens and overlooking the sea. This architecture is not only aesthetically pleasing but also shapes the entire stay experience: airy corridors, high ceilings, and large windows that let in natural light and breezes.

All 73 guest rooms feature private balconies, four-poster beds, wooden floors, and Indochinese-inspired interior details. The space is intentionally kept "old-fashioned," aiming to evoke the feel of a family villa rather than a modern hotel.

The resort offers a variety of room and suite categories, all sharing a similar design style but varying in size and location. The Ocean Suite, for example, measures approximately 73 m² and includes a separate living area, a sea-facing terrace, and a bathroom with a relaxing bathtub. Prices start from approximately US$320++ per night, depending on the time of year.

In the lower price range, the Deluxe Garden, approximately 38 m² in size, is nestled amidst a tropical garden and features a private balcony or terrace, ideal for those seeking a tranquil retreat. Prices start from around $195++.

This nostalgic design sets it apart, but it's also controversial, with some arguing that the space feels somewhat "outdated" by modern resort standards. The project's owner, Madame Catherine, envisioned the resort as a "home by the sea"; small details, from the handwritten welcome letters to the furniture arrangements, are all personalized.

A stay experience: Slow, private, and profound.

The space is designed as a self-contained community, with gardens, swimming pools, a private beach, and functional areas all within the same complex. The beach here is relatively quiet, more suitable for relaxation than for crowded recreational activities.

The resort's private beach offers a tranquil atmosphere with minimal crowded entertainment activities.

The day begins with yoga or a swim, followed by breakfast of hot dishes and fresh fruit. Throughout the day, many guests choose to stay on-site rather than travel. The resort's cuisine combines French style with local ingredients, with two main restaurants serving at different times.

Relaxation combined with intensive health care

Embracing the trend of physical and mental well-being, the resort has developed separate therapeutic spaces. Long-term retreats combine meditation, detoxification, and herbal massage, following the "wellness retreat" concept.

The “Summer Hers & His” experience here recently won the “Best Hotel Spa in Vietnam 2025” award – focusing on intensive treatments, including a 3-day, 2-night stay with therapeutic treatments, priced from USD 535++ for two people. This approach addresses the growing demand of travelers, where relaxation is not just about unwinding, but also about rejuvenating from within.

The rapid development of Phu Quoc has led to the emergence of many large-scale resorts. Although not new, this model still maintains its enduring appeal to travelers seeking tranquility, privacy, and a feeling of being "at home" in a resort environment.

Instead of blindly following the trend of complete modernization, accepting "old" elements to preserve identity is perhaps what creates a unique mark for original values and refined experiences that always hold a firm place.
