The sight of crowded beaches and luxurious resorts constantly fully booked has become commonplace. Hotels in both the North and South of the island recorded record-high occupancy rates, creating an unprecedentedly bustling atmosphere. Locals shared that simply strolling around the island, one easily encounters the faces of tourists from all over the world, transforming Phu Quoc into a miniature "tourist paradise."

2024 marked a banner year for Phu Quoc's tourism industry, welcoming over 960,000 international visitors, far exceeding the previous year's figure with an impressive growth of 73%. This achievement not only surpassed the set target but also affirmed Phu Quoc's position as a leading tourist destination in Vietnam. The increase in visitors from emerging markets such as Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Taiwan demonstrates the island's ever-growing appeal. Furthermore, active promotional efforts in Japan, Europe, and Australia contributed to expanding the market and attracting international tourists to explore Phu Quoc's pristine and captivating beauty.
Not only is Phu Quoc a symbolic New Year's destination in Vietnam, but it has also recently been consistently chosen to host major international events. This is understandable, as few destinations like this pearl island can, and are increasingly meeting, the common criteria of global event destinations such as open visa policies, convenient flight routes, and high-quality tourism infrastructure set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty.
While Phu Quoc surprised the world in 2019 when it was chosen by Indian billionaire couple Rushang Shah and Kaabia Grewal to host one of the nine most anticipated weddings in the world that year, by 2024, the scale and frequency of these events have gradually increased.

In November 2024, Phu Quoc welcomed 500 guests from Coca-Cola to celebrate the brand's Asia-South Pacific anniversary. The gala night, held at the Kiss of the Sea show stage, surprised attendees with its world-class display of ocean water, eight fire, water, light, and laser shows, and performances by 60 international artists. A Coca-Cola representative emphasized: "This is perhaps the most beautiful stage in Vietnam; we are extremely pleased."

Currently, Phu Quoc welcomes visitors from over 150 countries and territories, with numerous direct flights from South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and more. In addition, many charter flights bring visitors from Greece, the UAE, Singapore, India, Russia, Japan, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia to the island.
