Accordingly, in December, Phu Quoc welcomed 27-28 international flights per day, compared to only 2-5 flights per day during the same period last year.
According to statistics from the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, in December, the number of international visitors to Phu Quoc was estimated at 84,370 (a 133% increase compared to the same period last year). By the end of 2024, the total number of international visitors to Phu Quoc is expected to reach approximately 1 million, surpassing the "golden age" of Vietnamese tourism in 2019 by 43%.
The atmosphere in Phu Quoc is more vibrant than ever as it prepares for New Year's Day. According to the latest survey by MustGo, over 90% of rooms in 5-star hotels in both the North and South of the island are already booked. This demonstrates the island's strong appeal to both domestic and international tourists. With such impressive figures, it can be affirmed that Phu Quoc tourism is having an extremely favorable start to the new year.
