The appreciation program proposed by Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl will be sent to doctors, nurses, and medical staff directly involved in treating Covid-19 patients on the front lines, according to the list provided by the Ministry of Health.
Specifically, the two parties will donate 5,000 all-inclusive vacation packages to healthcare workers, each including a pair of round-trip domestic air tickets and a 3-day, 2-night stay at a 5-star resort for up to 4 family members, immediately after Vietnam declares the end of the pandemic nationwide. Of these, Vietnam Airlines will sponsor 10,000 round-trip air tickets; Vinpearl will donate 10,000 villa nights at its resort complexes across the system.
The holiday package includes all services: accommodation, three meals a day, and entrance tickets to VinWonders theme parks and Vinpearl Safari.
The appreciation program applies to Vietnam Airlines' domestic routes connecting to destinations with Vinpearl resort facilities. Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl will implement the program for 6 months from the time the Vietnamese Government declares the end of the pandemic nationwide, and no later than June 30, 2021.
Vietnam Airlines also proposed a 75% discount on airfare for up to two accompanying persons for each doctor, nurse, and medical staff member.
This is considered the largest non-profit and socially significant cooperation program specifically for healthcare workers, jointly implemented by Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl. Previously, Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl were also recognized as businesses that made significant efforts and actively contributed to and closely coordinated with authorities in the fight against the pandemic nationwide.
