Ba Vi hill chickens are particularly famous because they are raised naturally on hilly terrain, fed a mixture of corn, ground soybeans, fish oil, and brewer's yeast. Because the chickens are free-range, roaming freely in the gardens, their meat is firm, flavorful, and has a high lean meat ratio.

Alternatively, you can drive down behind Ba Vi National Park and explore the world of fresh milk and dairy products such as colostrum cakes, goat yogurt, caramel yogurt, curd... at milk processing factories, facilities, or rural farms. What could be better than a cool afternoon, sipping a warm glass of goat milk, or enjoying caramel yogurt made from goat milk, white sugar, and eggs?

One of the extremely unique specialties in Ba Vì is curdled milk served with chili salt, a local delicacy found on dairy farms. To make curdled milk, freshly squeezed, unpasteurized milk is steamed, after which a layer of curd forms and the milk solidifies. Simple yet very popular.

Milk cakes are one of the must-buy souvenirs when traveling to Ba Vi. These rectangular milk cakes, with their creamy yellow color and rich, sweet flavor, are made from fresh cow's milk and sugar. They're perfect as a snack for children or as an office treat.
