Once you set foot on Nusa Penida Island, you can start your journey to Broken Beach (also known as Pasih Uwug) in Bunga Mekar village. Here, you have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking scenery like on another planet.

Translated into English, Pasih means Beach and Uwug means Broken. So the locals call the beach Pasih Uwug and foreigners call it Broken Beach. This place attracts a lot of tourists because of its low cost and no entrance fee.
Although the name means “broken”, the beach has a very beautiful landscape. There is a cliff 50-200m high with a large hole that looks like a cave or tunnel in the sea. Seen from above, the hole looks like a giant lake. The cliff also impresses with a majestic natural bridge.
The natural scenery at Broken Beach is still very wild and the atmosphere here is very cool. This beach brings fresh experiences to visitors when coming to Nusa Penida Island.

WaterThe water at Broken Beach is so clear that you can see green sea turtles, stingrays and other creatures swimming around. Most visitors come here to experience activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving to explore the beauty of the underwater ecosystem.
