At the "Australian Culinary and Wine Journey" Gala held at the Park Hyatt Saigon Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City) on May 10th, delegates and guests were treated to a world-class performance by Deni Hines featuring impressive jazz music. Deni Hines had just attended a music festival in Queensland and immediately traveled to Vietnam to participate in the Taste of Australia 2019 event series.
Deni Hines, full name Dohnyale "Deni" Sharon Hines (born September 4, 1970), is an Australian solo artist who has released music since the early 1990s, achieving high chart positions in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. Her illustrious musical career began with the release of her first single with the Australian rock band Rockons, a cover of Bill Withers' 1971 hit "Ain't No Sunshine." This was followed by the release of the top 5 single "It's Alright" and the top 20 album Imagination (1996), which sold over 55,000 copies worldwide. In 2007, Hines recorded a successful jazz album with Australian jazz artist James Morrison.
This year, the Taste of Australia series features many exciting activities such as: a community BBQ on May 5th at The Ocean Villas (Da Nang), a Gala "Australian Culinary and Wine Journey" at Park Hyatt Saigon on May 10th in Ho Chi Minh City, a premium dinner for the public in Ho Chi Minh City on May 11th at Grain Cooking Studio (71 Hai Ba Trung, District 1), and an outdoor film screening featuring Australian cuisine on May 18th at the Australian Embassy in Hanoi...
The Taste of Australia 2019 event series will take place from May 5th to June 1st. This is the 4th year the program has been held in Vietnam and will be organized in 4 cities: Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City.
