Cao Bang is not only a place where nature converges all the most majestic and poetic things, but also a place that preserves profound cultural and historical values. Every step here is a touch of the original beauty, where time seems to stand still so that people can contemplate and enjoy every moment.
A peaceful moment in Cao Bang
Hidden gem in the mountains
When mentioning Cao Bang, people often think of the majestic Ban Gioc waterfall, the peaceful Lenin stream or the continuous mountain ranges. But for many people, the beauty of Cao Bang lies not only in the scenery but also in the feeling of serenity and peace that this place brings.

Sharing with Travellive reporter, Bich Ngan (owner of YouTube channel Kha Day) shared: "I have wandered to most of the mountainous regions in the North of Vietnam, each place has left me with different memories. However, Cao Bang is a land I have never had the opportunity to explore, and that is the reason I decided to choose this place for this first trip. I have always been curious about the wild, peaceful beauty of Cao Bang, especially the majestic waterfalls like Ban Gioc or the vast fields, where the earth and sky blend together."
And indeed, Cao Bang did not disappoint Bich Ngan. What surprised her the most was the simplicity and rusticity of this land, like a hidden gem that has not been fully explored.

Natural beauty touches the heart
Cao Bang is a land where every angle can become a vivid picture. The clear stream flows through the round pebbles, reflecting the sparkling sunlight, as if whispering the story of the mountains and forests. The sound of flowing water blends with the distant chirping of birds, creating a wordless natural melody, calming the human soul amidst the hustle and bustle of life. This is also one of the moments that made Bich Ngan "freeze" when she first witnessed the natural beauty of Cao Bang.
The sound of trickling water mixed with the distant chirping of birds creates a wordless natural melody, calming the human soul amidst the hustle and bustle of life.
The moment standing by the stream also reminded her of Uncle Ho's famous poem - "Pac Bo Scenery", when he was here.
“In the morning go to the stream, in the evening go to the cave,
Porridge and bamboo shoots are still available.
The shaky stone table translates the Party's history,
"Revolutionary life is so luxurious".
People and culture - The heart of Cao Bang
Not only nature, Cao Bang people are also a unique highlight in the overall picture. From the children happily welcoming tourists to the locals always willing to share about their customs and practices, that hospitality and simplicity create a strange attraction. Their simple lifestyle reflects the true spirit of nature here, close and gentle. Every time wandering in the small villages, Bich Ngan remembers the verses of Saigyo Hoshi, as a testament to the simple and profound beauty of life here:
"The village deep in the mountains,
where autumn ends,
I learned from the beginning,
when the winter wind blows,
meaning of sadness".

Cao Bang people are gentle, hospitable, always ready to welcome tourists to the land of profound cultural values.
Here, female visitors have the opportunity to participate in traditional activities, such as making handmade incense from natural materials such as cinnamon, eucalyptus leaves and herbs typical of the region. Each incense stick is not only a handmade product, but also a symbol of traditional indigenous culture.
Ngan confided: "What impressed me most was the delicacy and meticulousness in each stage of making incense. Each incense stick is not only a product to be lit in ceremonies, but also a symbol of the connection between people and the earth and sky. Through that, I feel a part of the profound culture, attached to the spiritual values and respect for nature of the people here."

Emotions from a journey
Cao Bang is not only a destination, but also a place for people to find themselves. In the peaceful space of the mountains and forests, we seem to be washed away all our worries, to listen to the whispers of nature and face the deepest emotions in our hearts.

Cao Bang is not only a destination, but also a place for people to find themselves.
"Visiting Pac Bo, sitting by Lenin stream or looking at Karl Marx mountain, I feel the sacredness, pride and gratitude for what our ancestors have preserved and built. Cao Bang, to me, is not only a destination but also a place to feel the deep connection between nature, people and history. Put away your phone, sit still to watch nature, to see yourself clearly", Bich Ngan shared.
