Downtown East celebrates 30 years of operation.

Downtown East belongs to the NTUC Group, one of Singapore's largest tourism and commercial conglomerates. Established in 1988 as NTUC Pasir Ris Resort, it quickly became a popular destination for locals seeking relaxation, entertainment, and shopping. With a $200 million investment in reconstruction and upgrades, a completely new Downtown East was officially completed in early 2018 and welcomes approximately 1.1 million visitors per month.

Currently, Downtown East is not only a destination for locals, but the number of foreign tourists, especially young travelers and families, is increasing significantly. Located a bit far from Singapore's city center but only about 15 minutes from Changi Airport by taxi, Downtown East is an ideal choice for families, groups, or couples. After its upgrade, Downtown East has become one of the best complexes in Singapore, offering a full range of amenities and catering to almost every traveler's needs. One of the attractions, besides enjoying the Wild Wild Wet or relaxing at Market Square, is the BBQ area, fully equipped and with an ideal space for guests. Notably, the hotel is situated right next to Pasir Ris National Park, one of the largest national parks in Singapore, which runs along the coastline.
