In particular, good news for football fans in Vietnam when "neighbor" Singapore will officially host the International Champions Cup (ICC) for 4 consecutive years starting from 2017. Three representative teams from England, Germany and Italy will participate to bring exciting matches to the upcoming 2017 tournament.

The International Champions Cup (ICC) is the world’s premier summer football tournament, taking the champions on a tour of major stadiums in North America, Europe, Australia, China and now Southeast Asia. With its strategic location, efficiency in organization and above all, its passion for the game, the Lion City was chosen to host the ICC 2017. For the next four years, Singapore will be the only Southeast Asian country to host part of the annual tournament.
Summer 2017 will mark the first time that three of Europe’s most illustrious football teams: Chelsea FC, Bayern FC and FC Internazionale will face off in the beautiful island nation of Singapore. Taking place from 25-29 July 2017 at the Singapore National Stadium, this year’s ICC will be a three-match round-robin tournament with the following fixtures: Chelsea FC vs FC Bayern (Tuesday 25 July), FC Bayern vs FC Internazionale (Thursday 27 July) and Chelsea FC vs FC Internazionale (Saturday 29 July).
All three matches promise to be a thrilling affair. Since the 2012 UEFA Final, which Chelsea won 4-3 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw in regular time), the two bitter rivals Chelsea and Bayern will meet again in the opening match on 25 July. The next match on Thursday 27 July will be between Bayern, the 2013 UEFA Champions League winners, and Inter – the Italian club that beat Bayern 2-0 in the 2010 UEFA Champions League Final. Will Bayern take the chance to get revenge?
ICC 2017 not only opens up opportunities for fans to admire beautiful football and sportsmanship, but also an opportunity to meet their football idols. Legendary names such as Chelsea’s Tore Andre Flo, Bayern’s Hasan Salihamidžić, and Inter’s Francesco Toldo will be in Singapore to welcome the opening of the tournament in Southeast Asia this year.
