The Vietnam Railway Authority has just proposed the Ministry of Transport to review the investment scale and approve the policy of connecting auxiliary works to operate steam locomotives for the Hue - Da Nang route. If approved, this railway line will have an additional type of tourist train using steam locomotives.

After studying and appraising the investor's project, the Railway Department found that the auxiliary works serving the use of the project's steam locomotives, such as the swing bridge, the preparation house, the preparation track, the coal and water supply systems, etc., basically comply with the current railway procedures and regulations, and have a scale appropriate to the number and types of locomotives and wagons used in the project.
