If you want to see the majestic nature, Dubai will certainly not satisfy you that much. But if you want to see the magic of human beings in transforming a land that has “nothing” into “lacking everything”, you definitely cannot ignore Dubai in your travel plan. Dubai’s efforts to put its name on the world map can be mentioned in a series of works that “break” the Guinness record.
A skyscraper makes it difficult for tourists to take pictures of the top of the tower.
The Burj Khalifa tower is also considered a symbol of modern Dubai.
Among them, the most famous is still the Burj Khalifa tower. Since the tower was inaugurated in 2010 with a height of 828m in the center of Dubai, it has been recognized as the tallest building in the world, far surpassing the old record of the 101 Tower in Taipei (509.2m). Up to now, 12 years have passed and no other tower has surpassed this record. Burj Khalifa is also considered a symbol of modern Dubai, marking the transition from dependence on oil economy to tourism services.
For the best photos, go to Dubai Mall (the world's largest shopping mall) in the evening to watch the water show at the foot of Burj Khalifa. The show starts at 6pm and runs every half hour. To capture the entire height of the tower, set your phone to Pano mode.
Turn the desert into a colorful flower garden

Although Dubai is a windy desert with the harshest summers, they are not afraid to amaze the world with another record: the world's largest flower garden called Miracle Garden. True to its name, this flower garden is a miracle in the middle of the desert as it also holds two other Guinness records: the world's largest flower model, a replica of the Emirates Airbus A380 with nearly 5 million flowers. And the record for the world's largest flower model of Mickey Mouse (weighing 35 tons and 18m high). However, due to the harsh hot climate, the flower garden will be closed in the summer and will only reopen around October every year to welcome tourists from all over. If you plan to go, remember to note this.
The only artificial island that can be seen from satellites
Dubai also has a magnificent construction that we cannot ignore: The world's largest artificial archipelago, The Palm Jumeirah. They used millions of tons of sand and stone to build it in just 6 years. This archipelago is also called the Palm Island because its shape is based on the palm tree, one of the symbols of the desert.

On January 21, 2023, the world's most luxurious resort system Atlantis The Royal on Palm Island officially opened. Beyonce chose this place for her official comeback performance after 5 years of absence right on the opening day. David Beckham and his wife are also said to own a 7-bedroom villa with a private beach on Palm Island with an estimated value of 1.6 million USD.
To admire the panoramic view of the Palm Island, go to View at the Palm located on the 52nd floor of Nakheel Mall. When you buy a ticket, you will be taken by a tour guide to the exhibition area to introduce the formation and construction process of the Palm Island, then take the elevator to the 52nd floor. This is the best place to take panoramic photos of the famous Palm Jumeirah artificial island.

If the British are proud of the London Eye, the people of Dubai also have a Dubai Eye almost twice as big.
The Guinness World Records 2021 records a new location in Dubai: The world's largest Ferris wheel, Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye), located on the newly built Bluewaters Islands. This is the tallest and largest Ferris wheel in the world, 250m high, almost twice as high as the famous London Eye. It was built in 8 years with 11,200 tons of steel, 33% more than the amount of steel used to build the Eiffel Tower (Paris). If the Ferris wheel is full of cabins, its capacity can reach 1,750 people at the same time. However, if you are afraid of heights, there is no need to go on the Ferris wheel, the Bluewaters Islands alone are full of restaurants, entertainment areas and beautiful landscapes for you to enjoy.
Actually, we cannot list all the Guinness World Records that Dubai holds in just one article because they have 339 records to date, and they add more every year. However, these are the most famous places that you should definitely not miss when visiting Dubai.
