Dubai is renowned as a land of superlatives. By the end of this year, a new project will be added to the list of records in this opulent city. CNN reports that a new hotel project is under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), led by real estate company Immo Prestige Limited.
Ciel Dubai Marina (also known as Ciel Tower) is projected to become the world's tallest hotel upon completion, boasting an impressive height of 365 meters. This will be 65 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower and surpass the 356-meter record held by the Gevora Hotel, also in Dubai.

The 365-meter-tall, 82-story "sky tower" boasts 1,000 rooms offering panoramic views of the surrounding landmarks.
At a cost of £388 million (approximately VND 12.6 billion), the hotel will have 1,042 rooms, including 150 luxury suites, spread across 82 floors of the building. Ciel Tower is known to have a total of 104 floors.
According to CNN, the project was built on a triangular plot of land in the Dubai Marina district with an area of only 2,500 square meters – quite small for a building of that height. Yahya Jan, the building's design engineer, told CNN in 2021: “The plot of land was very narrow. It’s like what you would face in Manhattan (USA) or London (UK). There were many limitations, but we had to make it a success.”
According to the developer, The First Group, the hotel will offer 360-degree views of the city, the coastline, and other famous landmarks. Guests can also enjoy the views from the rooftop pool and restaurants. Mr. Jan stated that the project also saves energy by using 25% less electricity for air conditioning compared to similar buildings.

This is an enormous amount of concrete, equivalent to about 50 Olympic swimming pools. More than 2,700 tons of steel were also used to reinforce the foundation, ensuring the safety and stability of the building.
The use of large quantities of construction materials demonstrates the scale and complexity of the Ciel Dubai Marina project. Construction is proceeding rapidly and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
