Vietnam Railways continues to operate 2 passenger trains.

A representative from Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company stated that the railway sector has decided to maintain the current operation of only the SE3/SE4 Thong Nhat passenger train pair across the entire network. This will be in effect from April 16th to April 23rd, until further notice.

At the same time, the railway sector will increase the operation of express freight trains, including continuing to maintain the Hanoi - Saigon mixed express freight train service with the designation HL1/HL2, which has a fast journey time of 34 hours and fixed stopping times at stations like passenger trains, to transport parcels, express deliveries, full-carload shipments, etc.

The railway industry will continue to implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures such as: measuring body temperature, requiring electronic health declarations for train passengers; instructing all passengers to purchase tickets at the station, sit in the waiting area, and wear masks correctly and maintain a safe distance from others when entering the station to board the train; arranging passengers on the train to maintain social distancing…
