Despite changing the company name to Meta, hoping to renew itself and move towards positive things, this social networking platform is still constantly criticized for its negative influence on society, recently in the US and Cuba.

CUBA WILL SUE FACEBOOK

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said the United States was behind human and civil rights protests planned on Facebook for November 15. According to Reuters, dissidents created a Facebook group called Archipielago with 31,501 members, more than half of whom reside in Cuba.

"Facebook could be sued for anti-Cuban actions," Rodriguez said, accusing those dissidents of living in the United States but changing their location to have a presence in Cuba.

To date, neither the US State Department, Facebook nor the Archilpielago group's representative, dissident Yunior Garcia, have commented on Cuba's allegations.
