Facing Infinity: Finding Yourself Between Traditional and Modern Materials

"Facing Infinity" is the name of a play, combining traditional elements such as tuong, folk performances (e.g., hau dong), collective movements in memory, the past with hip hop culture, electronic music.

The show is performed by a group of Vietnamese and Dutch artists, choreographer Tu Hoang, and studios Len Ngan and XplusX. The project is also sponsored by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and a number of other departments and independent units.

Facing Infinity revolves around the theme of self-discovery without a specific story, only through metaphors and conventional expressions to evoke personal thoughts. The first performance period lasts from August 2-4 at Hong Ha Theater - the "sanctuary" of the Vietnam Tuong Theater - 51 Duong Thanh, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The next performances will be updated via the play's fanpage and studios.

The series of events guides the public beyond the familiar artistic boundaries and approaches traditional theatrical heritage in new, creative ways.

“Facing Infinity” tells the story of the post-opening period from 1986 to the 2000s, where individuality was liberated but at the same time loneliness also opened up in society.
