Concerned that the complex Covid-19 pandemic could last until April, the organizers of the Hue Festival have decided to postpone the event to the end of August or beginning of September this year.
As of February 18th, Thua Thien Hue province has not recorded any positive cases of Covid-19. However, to prevent the spread of the disease, the province is currently monitoring, isolating, and tracking 119 people at home.

The Hue Festival 2020 is a national cultural and tourism event of international significance, creating momentum to promote the socio-economic development of Thua Thien Hue province. This year, the event has the theme "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development - Hue is always new," promising to bring participants new and unique experiences in culture, history, and art.
This year's event is expected to include many special programs such as: the Opening Art Program - introducing Thua Thien Hue with its endless beauty to explore; the Te Giao Ceremony - a traditional festival under the Nguyen Dynasty to pray for national peace and prosperity, and favorable weather; the "Imperial Culture" program; Trinh Cong Son's music; the "Hue - Culinary Capital" festival; ASEAN Night - showcasing Southeast Asian culture through fashion and music…


In addition, there will be events in support of the Festival and community cultural and artistic activities such as: the Kite Festival, the Science Festival, the Beer Festival, the international EDM music festival, art exhibitions and displays…
The Hue Festival 2020 will feature the participation of more than 20 international art troupes from countries such as South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Israel, France, Russia, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, Australia, and Egypt, promising to deliver captivating performances showcasing diverse cultures. The event will also include numerous domestic art troupes performing both traditional and contemporary art forms.
Hue Festival 2020 will feature the participation of more than 20 international art troupes.
In addition, the Hue Festival will also feature cultural and community activities, community tourism tours, and ecotourism routes exploring the unique beauty of the region, from Lang Co to the highlands of A Luoi, Nam Dong, and the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon system.
