The 7th Forbes Vietnam Business Forum with the theme "Through the Turbulence" gathered more than 400 attendees, including economic experts, chairmen and CEOs of enterprises.
The 7th annual business forum organized by Forbes Vietnam opened on the afternoon of October 15 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Through the discussion sessions, speakers who are leading business leaders, representatives of associations and famous experts discussed the challenges of the business environment as well as proposed response measures in the context of an unstable world economy and the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr. II-Dong Kwon, Managing Director and Partner, General Director of BCG Vietnam, outlined the future of the world in the post-Covid-19 period, helping business leaders reposition their business strategies in the context of changing needs, behaviors, lifestyles and work of everyone.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, senior research fellow at Harvard Kennedy School (Harvard University), lecturer of Public Policy at Fulbright University Vietnam, summarized the general picture of the global macro economy and proposed specific scenarios for the Vietnamese economy.
Speakers discussed the challenges of the business environment in the context of an unstable world economy and the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Within the framework of the forum, Forbes Vietnam also held a ceremony to honor the 50 best listed companies in Vietnam in 2020 according to the list voted and announced by Forbes Vietnam in June 2020. This is the eighth time Forbes Vietnam has made this list and recorded many new records. The total profit after tax of the companies on the list reached 138,705 billion VND, an increase of 8.7% compared to the list announced in 2019, the highest ever.
