Forbes Vietnam organizes the 2020 Business Forum: Navigating Through Turbulent Times

The Business Forum 2020, organized by Forbes Vietnam, opened on the afternoon of October 15th. Speakers discussed business opportunities and challenges amidst the uncertain global economic situation.

The 7th Forbes Vietnam Business Forum, themed "Navigating Through Turbulent Times," brought together over 400 attendees, including economic experts, chairmen, and CEOs of businesses.

The 7th annual Forbes Vietnam Business Forum opened on the afternoon of October 15th in Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the discussion sessions, speakers including leading business leaders, association representatives, and renowned experts exchanged views on the challenges of the business environment and proposed countermeasures in the context of an unstable global economy and the still complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr. II-Dong Kwon, CEO and Partner, General Manager of BCG Vietnam, outlined a vision of the future world in the post-Covid-19 era, helping business leaders reposition their business strategies in the context of changing needs, behaviors, lifestyles, and work environments.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, a senior research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School (Harvard University) and lecturer in Public Policy at Fulbright University Vietnam, summarized the overall global macroeconomic picture and proposed specific scenarios for the Vietnamese economy.

The speakers discussed the challenges of the business environment amidst global economic instability and the ongoing complexities of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Within the framework of the forum, Forbes Vietnam also held an awards ceremony honoring the 50 best listed companies in Vietnam in 2020, according to the list selected and announced by Forbes Vietnam in June 2020. This is the eighth time Forbes Vietnam has compiled this list, and it has recorded many new records. The total after-tax profit of the companies on the list reached VND 138,705 billion, an increase of 8.7% compared to the list published in 2019, the highest ever.
