Ford Vietnam officially launches the new Ford Focus Trend version.

More efficient, powerful, and exciting with the EcoBoost engine.

The new Focus Trend is equipped with a powerful and fuel-efficient 1.5L 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine. The 1.5L EcoBoost delivers 180 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, exceeding the power of a typical 2.0L gasoline engine while offering 20% ​​better fuel economy and approximately 15% lower emissions.

The 1.5L EcoBoost engine inherits all the technological advantages of the EcoBoost engine family, such as turbocharging, high-pressure direct fuel injection, and the use of dual overhead camshafts with variable valve timing, ensuring optimal performance and fuel efficiency. The aluminum alloy engine block reduces weight, improving power and fuel efficiency.

The liquid-cooled exhaust system, with its integrated intake manifold and cylinder head, ensures efficient airflow and optimal engine operating temperature. By minimizing the exhaust gas passage from the cylinders to the turbochargers, this integrated design also reduces turbo lag during acceleration. The reprogrammed engine control electronics optimize power output while maintaining smooth and quiet operation.

The 1.5L EcoBoost engine, paired with a new 6-speed automatic transmission, delivers high efficiency and fuel economy. Paddle shifters integrated into the steering wheel provide a modern and sporty driving experience.

Advanced connectivity and driver assistance technologies

The new Focus Trend boasts a range of advanced driver-assistance technologies for optimal connectivity and vehicle control. Reflecting the need for constant connectivity among young drivers, the new Focus is equipped with Ford SYNC intelligent connectivity and voice control technology, allowing drivers to stay continuously connected to the outside world while keeping their hands on the steering wheel – a smarter and safer driving experience. Drivers can control phone calls and the in-car entertainment system via Bluetooth using voice commands.

The new Focus is also equipped with Hill Start Assist, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control (ESP), and Electric Power Steering (EPAS), allowing the car to glide smoothly and comfortably at low speeds while remaining stable at high speeds. Because it's electronically controlled, rather than hydraulically, the EPAS system only activates when needed, helping you save fuel.

The new Focus Trend is also equipped with an "Active Grille Shutter" front air intake system that automatically adjusts its opening and closing to help the engine reach its operating temperature as quickly as possible, resulting in a 2% increase in fuel efficiency and a reduction in CO2 emissions.

The new Ford Focus Trend 1.5L EcoBoost will officially be available at all Ford Vietnam dealerships nationwide from January 10, 2017, priced at VND 699,000,000 (including VAT) with eight color options: Diamond White, Metallic Silver, Panther Black, Ruby Red, Rose Silver, Amber Brown, Blue, and Steel Gray.
