Saigon 2024
The first highlight that cannot be overlooked is the vision of legendary photographer Nick Ut – a Pulitzer Prize winner for his famous work, The Terror of War. At this exhibition, he presents a vision titled Saigon 2024, recreating a vibrant Ho Chi Minh City full of promise for the future, yet still preserving historical landmarks from the past. Landmark 81 – a symbol of continuous development – appears in Nick Ut's perspective as a bridge across time, its shadow cast vividly on the Saigon River at 2 PM, the perfect time to appreciate the artwork.

Precious Things Dwindle
But that's not all; Gallery in the Sky continues to offer visitors fascinating experiences with the "Precious Things Dwindle" vision by architect Dr. Dang Thanh Hung. From the 71st floor, he captures a street corner in Ho Chi Minh City, where rapid development is reflected in the transformation of the urban landscape. Drawing on vivid memories from his student days, Dang Thanh Hung has incorporated stories of life, history, and the transformation of a modern Ho Chi Minh City into this vision.
Familiar areas like Thi Nghe and Van Thanh – two landmarks deeply rooted in the city's history – are also featured in this vision. Thi Nghe honors Mrs. Nghe, who contributed to the development of the area, while Van Thanh refers to the space around Van Thanh Pagoda, a place associated with a tradition of learning. The contrast between modern architecture and the lush green spaces of the Van Thanh tourist area is also vividly portrayed, creating a harmonious blend of the bustling life and peaceful moments of Saigon.

My Dear Saigon
Ha Do (Creative Director) also contributed with her vision "My Dear Saigon," depicting the vibrancy of District 1 - the bustling heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Standing from a towering skyscraper, Ha shared: "Saigon has always given me endless inspiration. It's a place that nurtures the dreams and ambitions of the younger generation, just as New York has done for me."
Looking down at District 1, she saw not only a rapidly developing city, but also a place that held precious memories, where every street corner and every road intertwined nostalgia and modernity.
The vibrant urban landscape of Ho Chi Minh City has always inspired Ha Do with a deep sense of pride in the city's continuous progress.
Air Flow
Photographer Lam Ngoc Quang offers a unique perspective on the flight paths over Ho Chi Minh City with his work "Air Flow". From Vinpearl Landmark 81, he created a mesmerizing series of time-lapse photos, capturing the moments of planes flying across the city.
"I've always been fascinated by flights, which symbolize connection and discovery. From here, I see not only the airplanes but also the future and our endless possibilities," the photographer shared.
The photo was taken using a unique time-lapse mode.
In the Moment of Transition
From the perspective of Goetz Bauer, Regional General Manager of Vinpearl Landmark 81, the "In the Moment of Transition" view is a stunning depiction of Ho Chi Minh City as it transitions from day to night. Bauer's photograph captures the moment the light fades, reflecting the vibrant rhythm of a city that never sleeps.
“Ho Chi Minh City at sunset is magical; the hustle and bustle of the day suddenly gives way to dazzling lights. From this height, you can clearly feel that change, as the streets sink into darkness while the horizon still glows brightly—a sight rarely experienced elsewhere,” Bauer shared.
The "In the Moment of Transition" vision is a stunning portrayal of the transition between day and night in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Beauty of Vietnamese Art
From the 66th floor of Vinpearl Landmark 81, Dr. Ma Thanh Cao, a leading scholar in the field of art criticism, presented a vision titled "The Beauty of Vietnamese Art." Looking down at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, she saw not only a striking architectural landmark in the heart of the city but also a repository of the cultural and aesthetic essence of the Vietnamese nation.
With her profound expertise, combining academic knowledge and practical experience, Dr. Cao has spent many years researching the museum's valuable art collections. From her vantage point on the 66th floor, she has chosen to view the museum as a symbol connecting the past and present, traditional art and modern development. In her eyes, the museum is a gateway to the world of culture, where anyone can explore and understand the artistic values deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.
