This year's program is being held in the ancient village of Đường Lâm, organized by the Hanoi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center in coordination with the Sơn Tây Town People's Committee and other relevant agencies.
Nearly 30 ambassadors and representatives from diplomatic agencies and international organizations participating in the Happy Tet 2022 program mostly come from countries that are key tourism markets for Vietnam and Hanoi, and are currently living and working in Hanoi.

During the program, they experienced the atmosphere of a traditional Tet market at Mong Phu communal house with stalls showcasing local specialties, handicrafts, and traditional village crafts. They also participated in traditional Tet cultural activities such as calligraphy by a traditional calligrapher, folk games, traditional art performances, making banh chung (sticky rice cake), banh te (rice cake), che lam (sweet soup), roasted pork, and various candies.

The exhibition also displays and introduces some traditional costumes and antique accessories from the ancient village of Đường Lâm, such as wedding attire, daily life clothing, production clothing, etc., and handicrafts such as lacquerware by young artisan Nguyễn Tấn Phát, and herbal products made from natural ingredients by Bếp Làng restaurant...

The program was organized with the aim of promoting the traditional Vietnamese Tet cultural values to international friends; introducing a unique destination in the outskirts of Hanoi to tourism businesses for the development of tourism products; and simultaneously creating a stimulus effect for tourists from Hanoi and other provinces to visit Duong Lam for sightseeing, tourism, and cultural experiences during Tet and the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger 2022.
This is also an activity aimed at restoring and developing the economy, adapting to the new normal after the Covid-19 pandemic.
