This year's program was held in Duong Lam ancient village, implemented by Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in coordination with Son Tay Town People's Committee and relevant agencies.
Nearly 30 ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic agencies and international organizations in the Happy Tet 2022 program mostly come from countries that are key tourism markets of Vietnam and Hanoi, currently living and working in Hanoi.
During the program, they experienced the traditional Tet market space at Mong Phu communal house yard with booths introducing local specialties, handicrafts, and craft villages and participated in traditional Tet cultural activities such as calligraphy, folk games, traditional art performances, wrapping banh chung, banh te, che lam, roasted pork, candies...
Here also displays and introduces some traditional costumes, ancient accessories of the ancient village in Duong Lam such as wedding costumes, daily life costumes, production costumes, ... and handicraft products such as lacquer works of young artisan Nguyen Tan Phat, natural herbal products of Bep Lang restaurant...
The program is organized with the aim of promoting the traditional cultural values of Tet of Vietnamese people to international friends; introducing to tourism businesses a unique destination in the suburbs of Hanoi to build tourism products; at the same time creating a tourism stimulus effect for tourists from Hanoi and other provinces to Duong Lam to visit, travel, experience culture on Tet and spring travel of Nham Dan 2022.
This is also an activity to restore and develop the economy, adapting to the new normal after the Covid-19 pandemic.
