This villa has an impressive architecture with three floors, 19 m high and 25 m long. The entire architecture of the house is built with delicate white lime, arched doors and tiled roof. When visiting Bach Dinh, you will easily feel the beauty and sophistication of French architecture, from the shape of the house to the arrangement of decorative details, creating a charming work of art.
The White Palace stands out with its three floors and sophisticated French architecture.
Former Emperor Thanh Thai of the Vietnamese Empire was imprisoned in the White Palace in Vung Tau for about 10 years before the villa was reused as a resort for important officials such as the Governor-General of Indochina, Emperor Bao Dai and Presidents of the Republic of Vietnam through the periods. The construction of the White Palace lasted a total of 4 years, from 1898 to 1902. In 1992, the White Palace was officially recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Monument.
Outside, the White Palace is surrounded by a natural garden and lush green forest, creating a majestic scene with a view of Vung Tau sea. When entering the first floor of the villa, visitors will encounter impressive classical decorative works. Next, the second floor is where the White Palace Museum is located.
In addition, the Bach Dinh relic site owns a large outdoor campus, about 6 hectares, with many precious trees such as frangipani and rosewood.

"There are two main paths from the foot of Big Mountain to the villa. The first path is reserved for cars, while the second path requires visitors to climb 146 steps, along the way are two rows of ancient frangipani flowers. The scenery on this path can make visitors feel like they are entering a beautiful flower forest, evoking the image of the dreamy land of Da Lat", Thanh Hang (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared.
The design of Bach Dinh is inspired by Greek and Roman architecture, with a red tiled roof. Cooking activities are often carried out in the basement of the villa, while the first floor is for receiving guests, the second and third floors are for resting. With a space imbued with classic and luxurious traces, especially the use of white as the main color, it further enhances the beauty of this ancient villa.

Notably, the interior and decoration are mostly classical and aristocratic objects such as the pair of hundred birds and phoenix vases, the 170 cm long ivory set... Many decorations are made from rare and expensive porcelain. Visitors can also admire interesting murals depicting women from the Renaissance period, small details such as peacocks and carp, creative and sophisticated down to the last detail. Currently, Bach Dinh is the place to display an ancient cannon and a very rare collection of ceramics from the Kangxi period found in Hon Cau - Con Dao.

When visiting this valuable and ornate “historical establishment”, you cannot miss the most beautiful viewing spot of Bach Dinh – the Observatory. True to its name, the Observatory is where visitors can gaze out at the immense Vung Tau sea, Big Mountain, Small Mountain, Hon Nguu, Vung Tau Front Beach…
If you choose the milk flower blooming season to visit Bach Dinh, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the enchanting "flower carpet" known as the most beautiful virtual living corner that you can hardly miss.
Thanh Hang and her group of friends shared that they really love this corner. She said: "Just standing here, we can see the whole view of Vung Tau. We took a lot of beautiful photos. Traveling to learn about history and having beautiful photos to bring back is wonderful."
The mansion also has an area called the History Museum, which houses more than 8,000 ancient artifacts. Notable is the collection of Chinese ceramics, most of which are made from pottery and porcelain that are tens of thousands of years old. Just looking closely at the patterns on the ceramics is enough to understand the great value of these items.
The poetic hallway corner is also a favorite "virtual living" place for many young people.
From here you can see the sea and other tourist attractions of Vung Tau.
