With the theme "Spring of Love, Tet of Reunion," the Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Dragon, featuring many impressive displays, became the most beautiful flower street in its 21-year history. Open to visitors from February 7th to 14th, it attracted over 1.2 million visitors.
From the initial design images released until the end of the visiting period, the Flower Street received much praise from locals and tourists.
Among them, the "Two Dragons Worshipping Lotus" at the entrance gate of the Nguyen Hue - Le Loi intersection attracted much attention due to its exquisite craftsmanship; the dragon heads can move and emit quite realistic growling sounds. Each dragon has five winding body sections along both sides of the flower-lined street, with a length of over 100 meters and a head circumference of over 2 meters.
The dragon mascot will remain on Nguyen Hue flower street until the end of January.
To continue serving visitors, the pair of dragons will be kept until the end of the first lunar month. The remaining large and small displays will be dismantled by the relevant unit, returning the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street space to visitors. The cleanup work has been extended by 24 hours, from 6:00 AM on February 15th to 6:00 AM on February 16th.
During the opening period, the organizers recorded tens of thousands of downloads of the Seensio Go app to capture the flying dragon effect and share it on social media. Approximately 10 million images related to the flower street were posted on various media and social networks.
