“Among the Green Grass, Under the Cool Dew Sky” is a multimedia art exhibition that invites viewers to reflect on the profound connection between humans and the natural world. The works are presented through diverse art forms including oil paintings, works on paper, hand-painted blue and white ceramics, and handmade fashion. Through different materials and expressive ways of expression, the artists open up imaginary spaces where flowers, grass, the earth, and humans do not exist separately but intersect and interact naturally and metaphorically.
Featuring artists Nguyen Thuy Hang, Duong Thuy Duong, Hoang Anh and Mifa, the exhibition depicts a poetic journey of discovery, bringing viewers closer to the hidden beauty of the natural world.
Each artist brings a unique perspective - from the soft, abstract femininity in Duong Thuy Duong's sketches of plants and flowers to Nguyen Thuy Hang's majestic landscapes between heaven and earth; from folk materials and surreal contemporary forms in Hoang Anh's paintings to the subtle, dreamy world of Mifa. These works are not just simple observations of nature, but an inner dialogue between the visible and invisible worlds, between personal memories and the eternal flow of nature.
The exhibition leads viewers to explore the silent yet powerful movements taking place under the peaceful surface of life - from the shifting of the earth's crust, the process of mineral formation to the growth cycle of plants. These changes reflect the finite journey of humans: we come and go, but nature continues silently, persistently and tolerantly.
Not only inviting viewers to come and look, but also to pause, feel and remember the moments of nature that gently pass through our lives - moments that we may have missed. This is a gentle yet profound reminder that beauty exists not only in brilliant or extraordinary things, but also in every gentle breath, every subtle movement of the world around us. "Amidst the green grass, under the cool dew" suggests a different way of looking at nature: not as a distant backdrop for life, but as a companion - always there, nurturing, protecting and quietly accompanying us through the years.
To add more vivid colors to the exhibition space, Chula opened the collection to introduce "Hoa" - designs inspired by the colorful beauty of flowers and leaves, reflecting the enthusiasm and love of life of people. At the same time, Bat Trang Museum Atelier brings a contemporary breeze to traditional folk culture with the blue-and-white ceramic collection "Weaving a flower" - where plant motifs are expressed with sophisticated manual techniques, reminiscent of the breath of the land, of the craft village and the memory of Vietnamese culture.
Fashion show event
Chula's "Cinema" collection is an inspiring exploration of the connection between fashion and cinema, where cinematic stories are transformed into artistic fashion pieces.
The designer skillfully infused the romance and drama of classic and contemporary cinema into every detail of the outfit - from bold silhouettes, evocative motifs to flowing fabrics. The collection is a cinematic artistic fusion, evoking nostalgic emotions and a theatrical atmosphere, inviting the wearer to immerse themselves in the magical world of the films. Imbued with Chula's signature Vietnamese-Spanish aesthetic, the "Cinema" collection is proof that fashion can become a storytelling language that touches emotions and achieves artistic sublimation. Runway show time: 18:00 - 21:00 on April 24, 2025.

About the artists
Nguyen Thuy Hang (born 1978) is a visual artist, poet and writer, graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City in 2002. Nguyen Thuy Hang has a deep understanding of both literature and visual arts, with experiences growing up in Vietnam in the post-war period and studying and practicing art in both the West and Vietnam. The thoughts from her literary lines are colored by mysterious and chaotic elements, reflecting in both her paintings and sculptures a sense of loneliness of human condition in a Vietnamese society approaching the world.

Duong Thuy Duong (born in 1979) graduated from the University of Fine Arts and Design Burg Giebichenstein - Germany in 2009; currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Enjoying the culture and fine arts of two countries, Duong's visual art is always a dialogue between Eastern and Western identities and concepts. Her oil paintings contain many layers, with many techniques used to create an illusionary effect, all giving the feeling of questioning our human beliefs in metaphysical stories such as Creation, Evolution, Love, Life and Death.

Since 2015, she has focused on researching and experimenting with acrylic paint on traditional Vietnamese paper. Her works delve into the harmony and conflict of Eastern identity in the era of globalization, along with the desire to preserve and develop folk spirit expressed through painting. Her artistic experimentation is the study and attempt to recreate the painting techniques of ancient Eastern civilizations such as gold leafing, calligraphy, watercolor, hand printing, papier-mâché... combined with personal techniques inspired by the surface of Vietnamese lacquer paintings.
