According to Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh, Chairman of the Ha Giang Province Tourism Association, this is the opening product for a new series of practical experiential tourism activities, for travel companies to exploit, creating a dual goal of both educating historical traditions for the young generation and developing the socio-economy, stimulating demand to attract tourists to Ha Giang through experiential - spiritual tourism.
On February 12 and 13, the first experiential tourism program "Marching in his footsteps" took place, with the participation of provincial representatives, Ha Giang newspaper, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism and nearly 100 union members, youth, veterans and tourists from all over the country.

When participating in the experience, each tourist is dressed in Uncle Ho's soldier's uniform, crossing nearly 20 km of muddy, steep forest roads on the "Spring trench" route from Thanh Son village through a number of landmarks such as: post-operative houses, Pinh village's blood stream, hell waterfall, border marker 261, Lo village's cave... to Na Toong village of Thanh Thuy commune. Passing the high points of the Vi Xuyen battlefield, this journey partly helps to recreate the image of the army in the past transporting food, weapons, and ammunition to the front line of the border.
Attend the candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute and pray for the souls of heroic martyrs.
Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh added: “On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the war to protect the northern border, and also to educate about our ancestors' origins, we will try to make this product an annual program. Hopefully, more and more tourists, especially the young generation, will come to Ha Giang to learn and understand more deeply about the history of the nation.”
