On August 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang province reported on the current status of adventure tourism products in Ha Giang province.
The report pointed out that Ha Giang is a province with favorable conditions for developing adventure tourism products, with the advantage of diverse terrain and attractive landscapes, typically the Dong Van Stone Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark and the Hoang Su Phi Terraced Fields National Scenic Area, which have long attracted the attention of tourists with unique and distinctive tourism products.

According to the planning plan of the Ha Giang Culture, Sports and Tourism sector for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, some types of adventure tourism suitable to the characteristics of resources and exploitation conditions in some localities will be developed such as: paragliding (Quan Ba, Xin Man); car racing, motorbike racing, mountain biking (Yen Minh, Xin Man); professional mountain climbing, sinkhole exploration, San To cave (Meo Vac), Kho My cave (Quan Ba), Khun cave (Quang Binh); zipline products at Phia Dau eco-tourism area (Bac Me) and Lung Ho (Yen Minh); Du Gia waterfall rowing (Yen Minh); exploration activities of nature reserves in the province such as: Du Gia, Chi San, Bat Dai Son, Ma Pi Leng, Phong Quang, Tay Con Linh, Bac Me...
In the planning plan of Dong Van Stone Plateau tourist area to 2025, with a vision to 2030 (approved by the Prime Minister in 2017), it was also determined to build and develop the Tu San and Ma Pi Leng canyon areas into an adventure sports subdivision with a scale of 20 hectares; oriented to develop adventure sports tourism based on exploiting the rugged terrain conditions in the Tu San canyon area and Nho Que river such as zipline, bungee, paragliding, adventure boating to explore Nho Que river, hot air balloons.

In recent times, to exploit the potential of local adventure tourism, Ha Giang province has coordinated with businesses to organize motorcycle and car racing competitions (Yen Minh district); implemented a paragliding project (Hoang Su Phi district); coordinated with Lao Cai province to organize the Bac Ha (Lao Cai) - Xin Man (Ha Giang) mountain bike race.
