Ha Giang stops receiving tourists and people from epidemic areas.

On June 1st, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province, Nguyen Van Son, signed and issued an urgent document to functional units, departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts and cities... regarding the vigorous implementation of measures in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation.

The official document clearly states that, from 0:00 on June 2, 2021, the reception of tourists into Ha Giang province will be suspended; the entry of people from epidemic areas into the province will also be stopped, except in cases where it is absolutely necessary, a negative Covid-19 test result (within the last five days) will be required. At the same time, it advises against and restricts the entry of people from localities with outbreaks into Ha Giang at this time.

Local authorities and units need to proactively, consistently, and effectively implement disease prevention measures, ensuring early detection, rapid isolation, effective treatment, and quick stabilization of the situation; especially by strictly controlling illegal entry and residence activities.

The People's Committees of districts and cities are responsible for strengthening inspections to ensure strict implementation of the Ministry of Health's 5K message, especially the mandatory wearing of masks in public places; promoting propaganda work; effectively implementing disease prevention and control measures at restaurants, hotels, and eateries, ensuring social distancing and avoiding large gatherings; and strengthening guidance on food safety for centralized quarantine areas in the fight against Covid-19.

Currently, health quarantine activities at border gates are being intensified, with all entrants required to declare their health status and subject to close monitoring. Ha Giang maintains the regular operation of 68 fixed checkpoints in border communes; effectively carrying out the screening of people returning from epidemic areas, taking samples for testing, implementing centralized quarantine, and monitoring at home according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health.

After two rounds of vaccinations, Ha Giang province has had 15,708 people vaccinated against Covid-19.
