Ha Giang stops receiving tourists and people from epidemic areas

On June 1, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province Nguyen Van Son signed and issued an urgent dispatch to functional units, departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities... on the drastic implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the new situation.

The document clearly states that from 0:00 on June 2, 2021, tourists will be stopped from entering Ha Giang province; people from epidemic areas will be stopped from entering the province; in case of real necessity, a negative Covid-19 test result (within the last five days) is required. At the same time, it is recommended to limit the reception of people from epidemic areas to Ha Giang at this time.

Localities and units need to proactively, actively and regularly carry out disease prevention work, detect early, isolate quickly, treat effectively, and quickly stabilize the situation; especially strictly control illegal entry and residence activities.

The People's Committees of districts and cities are responsible for strengthening the inspection of the strict implementation of the Ministry of Health's 5K Message, especially the mandatory wearing of masks in public places; stepping up propaganda work; implementing well the epidemic prevention and control work at restaurants, hotels, and eateries, ensuring distance and not gathering in large crowds; strengthening guidance on ensuring food safety for concentrated quarantine areas in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic.

Currently, medical quarantine activities at border gates are being stepped up, all entrants must make health declarations and are closely monitored. Ha Giang maintains regular operations of 68 fixed checkpoints at border communes; effectively screening people returning from epidemic areas, taking samples for testing, centralized quarantine, and home monitoring according to regulations of the Ministry of Health.

After two vaccination rounds, Ha Giang had 15,708 people vaccinated against Covid-19.
