Vietnam has many high mountain peaks, dense tropical forests and a dense network of rivers and streams. These are suitable conditions for water vapor to accumulate in dense layers, creating fog and clouds. Therefore, many people choose to climb mountains in winter not only to avoid the rain and hot weather, but also to immerse themselves in the sea of clouds. And to successfully "hunt" for clouds, climbers must prepare extremely carefully. If they reach the top of the mountain and the sky is clear but all around is "bare", then the trip is considered a failure.
Some beautiful cloud-watching spots in Vietnam are: Da Lat, Y Ty, Sin Ho, Ka Lang, Ta Xua, Sa Pa, O Quy Ho pass, Khau Pha pass, Bach Moc Luong Tu,...
But in fact, the mountains are still very poetic even without clouds, and watching the majestic scenery from a height of thousands of meters is always an interesting experience.
A recent trip to Ta Chi Nhu by a group of mountain climbers did not allow them to see clouds, nor did they see purple chi pau flowers. But for each member of the group, the trip was still a wonderful experience, because there were memories more beautiful than the clouds.

On the way to Ta Chi Nhu, the group met many Mong people. The group lingered and spent time chatting with them, capturing moments of the extremely friendly and lovely Mong people.

The Mong people let their horses and goats roam the valleys. On the journey to the top of Ta Chi Nhu, wherever you go, you can hear the cheerful jingling sound of bells around their necks. Standing among the horses' hooves on the green grassland, you feel like you are a nomad.

Late autumn, early winter, the weather is cold but still sunny. The golden sunlight like honey penetrates the clouds, pouring down across the valley. From the top of the high mountain, the hiker can see dozens of miles away. It feels like standing on a single oasis in the middle of a vast blue sea. It is a feeling of freedom that, no matter whether the scenery ahead is mountains or clouds, cannot be changed.

Of course, a mountain climbing trip would be more perfect if the traveler could be immersed in a sea of white, fluffy clouds. But don’t forget, along the journey there are still “good stories” and “beautiful pictures”, you just need to stop to listen and feel. Every experience becomes worthwhile, even if the mountain top is no longer cloudy.
