Breakfast in Dong Van, Hoi An street food and duck herding in Tra O lagoon are among the winning photos of the Pink Lady Food Photography international culinary photo contest.

Surpassing many potential candidates, the photos capturing a series of simple moments about life and people in Vietnam by the author Viet were honored at the international photo contest. This year’s contest attracted more than 10,500 entries from 70 countries around the world. At the end of April, the final results were announced online on YouTube, including many works taken in Vietnam.

The winner of the Food at the table category is the photo "Breakfast at the market" by Nguyen Huu Thong, taken in Dong Van, Ha Giang. The moment of local men enjoying a hot bowl of pho at a market day left a strong impression.

Nguyen Huu Thong has another work selected for exhibition in the final list, "Winter meal" of a family in the highlands of Hoang Su Phi, Ha Giang.

Besides, in the Street Food category, the photo "Enjoy" by author Tran Viet Van taken in Hoi An (Quang Nam) excellently won the highest prize.

The moment four girls happily enjoyed sweet soup at a famous tourist destination in the Central region was naturally captured by the author. "There are many delicious sweet soups here. The image of a group of female students excitedly enjoying a bowl of sweet soup makes me feel that life is lovely even though everyone is still facing the Covid-19 pandemic," the author shared.

In addition, the work “Feeding Ducks” by Nguyen Phuoc Hoai, taken in Tra O lagoon, Phu My, Binh Dinh, won second prize in the Food in the Field category.

It is known that in addition to the award-winning works, the jury selected good works to exhibit at the Royal Photographic Society of England in Bristol (UK) in November-December 2021.
