Recently, the Daily Mail (UK) published the results of a survey and released a list of new world wonders. Notably, a Vietnamese construction - the Golden Bridge (Da Nang) appeared in this list, even ranking first.
This is the result of a survey by the Daily Mail with people of the Millennial generation (born from 1982-2000), considered to be the generation that grew up in the development of information technology and the trend of moving. They are the representatives to vote for the new wonders of the world in this survey.
With the criteria of "design that creates instant impact, has a wow factor and exudes wonder," they came up with a list of new wonders of the world, in which Vietnam's Golden Bridge was the first place mentioned.
Located at an altitude of 1,414 m above sea level, the Golden Bridge has an arc-shaped design, supported by two giant hands, reaching out to the blue sky. The bridge is 150 m long and 12.8 m wide with 8 spans, serving as a transit point from the French village to Thien Thai garden in the tourist area. Completed and inaugurated in 2018, the bridge attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit and take photos.
According to Daily Mail, within a short time of its official opening, this place has attracted a large number of visitors, mentioned in more than 20,000 posts on Instagram with the hashtag #goldenbridgevietnam.
In April 2020, Insider published an article about 28 beautiful bridges around the world, including the Golden Bridge. In 2018, the famous British newspaper - The Guardian - voted this structure as one of the 10 most beautiful pedestrian bridges in the world. With its unique architecture, the Golden Bridge has also been praised by many foreign news sites and travel magazines such as Time and CNN as the most famous pedestrian bridge in the world.
According to the Daily Mail list, along with the Golden Bridge, many wonders in other countries were also named new wonders, including the Bosco Verticale apartment building - a green space building in Milan (Italy), or Gardens by the Bay - an urban park with a system of super trees in Singapore. The Soumaya Museum in Mexico City, 10 Jungle Swings in Bali (Indonesia), and the bridge in Kalbarri National Park (Australia) are also on the list.
