Recently, the Daily Mail (UK) published the results of a survey and released a list of the new wonders of the world. Notably, a structure from Vietnam - the Golden Bridge (Da Nang) - appeared on this list, even ranking first.

This is the result of a survey by the Daily Mail among Millennials (born between 1982 and 2000), considered the generation that came of age during the development of information technology and the trend of mobility. They are the representatives who voted to select the new wonders of the world in this survey.

With criteria such as "design that creates an immediate impact, possesses an astonishing element, and embodies wonder," they compiled a list of the new wonders of the world, with Vietnam's Golden Bridge being the first on the list.

Located at an altitude of 1,414 meters above sea level, the Golden Bridge features an arched design, supported by two giant hands reaching towards the blue sky. The bridge, 150 meters long and 12.8 meters wide with 8 spans, serves as a transit point from the French Village to the Thien Thai Garden in the tourist area. Completed and inaugurated in 2018, the bridge attracts many domestic and international tourists who come to visit and take photos.

According to the Daily Mail, shortly after officially opening, the place attracted a large number of visitors, being mentioned in over 20,000 Instagram posts with the hashtag #goldenbridgevietnam.

In April 2020, Insider published an article about 28 stunning bridges around the world, and the Golden Bridge was also honored to be included in this list. In 2018, this structure was voted one of the 10 most beautiful pedestrian bridges in the world by the famous British newspaper, The Guardian. With its unique architecture, the Golden Bridge has also been praised by many foreign news outlets and travel magazines such as Time and CNN as the most famous pedestrian bridge in the world.

According to the Daily Mail's list, along with the Golden Bridge, many other wonders in various countries were also named new wonders, including the Bosco Verticale apartment building – a green space in Milan (Italy), and Gardens by the Bay – an urban park with a system of supertrees in Singapore. The Soumaya Museum in Mexico City, the 10 Jungle Swings on Bali Island (Indonesia), and the bridge in Kalbarri National Park (Australia) are also on the list.
