TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice - Best of the Best 2020 awards system includes four categories: Popular Destinations, Trending Destinations, Emerging Destinations, and Beaches. This year, five Vietnamese destinations (Hoi An, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi) were named in three out of four categories: Popular Destinations, Trending Destinations, and Emerging Destinations.
According to TripAdvisor, these awards are selected based on reviews and ratings shared by travelers worldwide.
Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are among the top 12 hottest destinations in the world (Trending Destinations).
Da Nang ranks 7th in the list of the 25 hottest destinations in the world, while Ho Chi Minh City is ranked 12th on the same list.
Speaking of Da Nang, TripAdvisor particularly praised the city's diverse cuisine and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. TripAdvisor also suggested that visitors shouldn't forget to explore the Marble Mountains or take food tours when they come here.
