The launch of the "Rafting and Then Singing on Na Nua Lake" tourism product marks the beginning of a series of programs to stimulate tourism in Tuyen Quang in 2022. The experience of rafting and Then singing, combined with heritage tourism at the Tan Trao National Special Historical Site, will create a strong connection between historical tourism and local cultural experiences, thereby attracting tourists to Tuyen Quang.
Then singing is a unique cultural and artistic form of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups in the northern mountainous provinces, including Tuyen Quang. With its unique artistic values and profound humanistic significance, Then singing was recognized by UNESCO in 2019 as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
To date, several provinces such as Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Tuyen Quang are continuously striving to develop tourism and cultural programs to promote this art form not only in Vietnam but also internationally.
