The Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Tay Ho District People's Committee recently announced the Hanoi Tourism Program to welcome 2024 - Geton Hanoi 2024 and the Decision recognizing the Nhat Tan tourist area in Tay Ho District with the theme "Geton Hanoi 2024 - The Beauty and Fragrance of Tay Ho". This program is part of a series of activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
Through organizing this program, the Hanoi tourism industry hopes to continue communicating and promoting the image of Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination, aiming to attract more tourists to Hanoi in general and Tay Ho in particular, thereby contributing positively to the development of tourism in the capital and the socio-economic development of Tay Ho district.
The program will take place from March 9th to March 10th, 2024 (Saturday - Sunday) at the Tay Ho Creative Culture Space (Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street), Tay Ho district, Hanoi.
Drone light show on the night of the 30th of the Lunar New Year.
This event marks the opening of over 50 cultural, festival, and tourism activities in Hanoi in 2024, such as: Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024; Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024; Hanoi Autumn Festival; Culinary and Traditional Craft Village Tourism Festival; Hanoi Ao Dai Festival 2024... contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi to domestic and international friends, boosting tourism towards the goal of welcoming 27 million tourists to Hanoi in 2024, including 5.5 million international tourists; total revenue from tourism reaching VND 103.74 trillion, an increase of 11.1% compared to 2023. The program is held on Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street, Tay Ho district - one of the "cultural and tourism centers" of the capital, home to many traditional craft villages and a rich historical heritage.
Geton Hanoi 2024 - themed "The Colors and Scents of West Lake" - will offer visitors incredibly new experiences, a blend of modernity and epic through a semi-realistic art program and a laser mapping light show.
In particular, the light show featuring hundreds of drones taking flight over the night sky above West Lake will provide an incredibly exciting and emotional experience for the audience. This unique artistic light display will take visitors on a journey to discover the outstanding tourist destinations characteristic of Hanoi Tourism 2024, starting with the charming and fragrant West Lake.
Geton Hanoi 2024 - themed "The Colors and Scents of West Lake" will offer visitors incredibly new experiences, a blend of modernity and epic through a semi-realistic art program and a laser mapping light show.
Along with diverse culinary experiences and booths showcasing tourism products, visitors can take photos with decorative displays, participate in traditional folk games… and admire the stunning award-winning photos from the "Welcome Hanoi City" tourism photography contest.
