According to vendors, this year there is a strong trend of selling small peach blossom branches, which are very popular with customers because they can be used for photoshoots or placed on altars. Small peach blossom branches are priced from 80,000 to 300,000 VND per branch, while larger branches range from 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND per branch.
The more buds a peach blossom has, the more evenly its petals will bloom. Having both flowers, buds, and new shoots is considered auspicious, as it symbolizes wealth and prosperity for the family on the first day of spring.
The blossoming peach branches can last for quite a long time, at least 15 days depending on the weather.
To get these early-blooming peach blossoms, gardeners have to care for and prune the trees a month in advance. This year, the trend of displaying peach blossoms in Hanoi also includes Sapa pink peach blossoms.
The peach blossoms of Nhat Tan are in full bloom, displaying their vibrant colors.
For the people of Hanoi, peach blossoms during Tet (Lunar New Year) have become an indispensable part of the holiday.
