According to the latest announcement from the Korean Embassy, if those who need to apply for a Korean tourist visa submit their application on Monday, according to current regulations, the process will be completed after 12 working days. Those who submit their application on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday will receive the results within 14 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
In cases where additional documents are required, the visa issuance time may be longer than the appointment date and the result will be announced 1 to 2 days after the additional date (except for marriage visas and student visas). Note that rejected applications must come to retrieve their passports within one week from the date of announcement of the result.
Korea is always one of the tourist destinations that attracts a large number of Vietnamese tourists.
Previously, the Korean Ministry of Justice officially announced that Vietnamese citizens with permanent residence in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City will be granted a 5-year multiple entry visa. This visa was officially issued from December 3, 2018. A 5-year multiple entry Korean visa allows the holder to enter Korea multiple times within 5 years, each time not to stay more than 30 days.
Previously, if Vietnamese people wanted to get a 5-year multiple entry visa, the mandatory condition was to have been to Korea at least 4 times and many other conditions, but now the conditions have been relaxed a lot.
Along with the relaxation of the conditions for granting 5-year visas to Vietnamese people, the Korean government expects an increase in the number of Vietnamese tourists and a sharp increase in export turnover to the Vietnamese market. The Korean Ministry of Justice also leaves open the possibility of granting 10-year multiple-entry visas to Vietnamese citizens who work in fields such as lawyers, doctors, professors, etc.
