A representative of Vietnam Airlines said that for the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam, the airline's flights on May 29 increased by 36%, reaching 300 flights/day due to the number of domestic passengers rapidly increasing again. With this number, the airline has officially fully restored the number of domestic flights compared to the same period in 2019. Therefore, in June, the airline said it will open 6 new domestic routes to develop and complete the domestic flight network.
Disinfection work and passenger health checks at the airport are still carried out by airlines according to regulations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
Similarly, a representative of Bamboo Airways said that from June 1, the airline will also increase the number of flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to 16 flights/day using wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with an average of one flight/route every 2 hours on all days of the week. Flights from two major airports in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City connecting to Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot... will have increased flight frequency to serve people's travel. At the same time, Bamboo Airways said that in June it will completely restore its domestic flight network.
Vietjet Air has also resumed all 45 domestic routes with more than 300 flights per day with many attractive promotions. Specifically, Vietjet Air has given away more than 2 million tickets priced from only 1,600 VND (excluding taxes and fees) applicable to all 45 domestic routes across Vietnam with more than 300 green flights per day. All passengers can hunt for promotional tickets from May 25 to June 1, 2020 without time limit on the website and Vietjet Air mobile application for flights from June 1 to December 31, 2020 (except holidays).
