According to Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan, currently, through the reflection of the media, press and people, it shows that activities at some airports are overloaded, the situation of flight delays and cancellations tends to increase, the transport output exceeds the design capacity of the passenger terminal, especially at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat international airports. This reality is affecting the quality of passenger services, traffic congestion approaching the terminal, causing frustration for passengers as well as public opinion...

To overcome the above situations, the Ministry of Transport requires agencies and units to focus on immediately implementing a number of tasks to overcome the situation of flight delays and cancellations.
Specifically, the Ministry of Transport requires the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to closely coordinate slots in accordance with legal regulations (monitor and manage slot usage by airlines, revoke slots according to regulations...), especially at airports with overload such as Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat to avoid congestion during peak hours.
Identify the causes of flight delays and cancellations by airlines to propose solutions; periodically publicize data on flight delays and cancellations by airlines.
Provide full and timely information to passengers and residents about flights, check-in times, etc. Encourage passengers to use self-check-in kiosks or other online check-in methods to reduce the load on the check-in area at the airport.
Urgently establish an inspection team for transportation and passenger service activities during the peak summer season of 2022 at airports, especially Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat International Airports; promptly direct, rectify and handle violations (if any). Closely monitor security and safety in aviation activities.
