How should passengers arriving by plane to these locations be quarantined?

Hanoi

According to regulations in Hanoi, passengers arriving from Ho Chi Minh City and staying in the capital will be required to undergo a 7-day quarantine at a designated quarantine facility or at one of 20 announced hotels. Passengers are responsible for their own quarantine and testing costs. After completing the 7-day quarantine, passengers will continue to monitor their health at their residence for another 7 days.

Passengers arriving from Da Nang to Noi Bai and staying in Hanoi will be quarantined at their accommodation for 7 days, tested twice on the first day and the sixth day before the end of the quarantine, and will continue to monitor their health at their accommodation/home for the next 7 days.

Currently, Noi Bai Airport only receives flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

Hai Phong

Similar to the capital city, Hai Phong City applies the regulation that passengers arriving from Ho Chi Minh City at Cat Bi Airport and staying in Hai Phong must undergo 7 days of centralized quarantine, with samples taken for testing on the third and seventh days; they must then self-isolate at home/place of residence for another 7 days, with samples taken for testing on the last day of quarantine.

The city has compiled a list of quarantine hotels in Hai An, Ngo Quyen, Le Chan, and Hong Bang districts, offering a variety of room rates for passengers to choose from. Currently, Cat Bi Airport only receives flights from Ho Chi Minh City.

Thua Thien-Hue

Thua Thien-Hue also requires passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to undergo 7 days of centralized quarantine from the date of arrival in the locality. After completing centralized quarantine, passengers will continue to be medically monitored at home/place of residence for an additional 7 days.

Additionally, passengers need to declare their travel history via the provided link before arriving in Hue.https://tuongtac.thuathienhue.gov.vn/khaibaoAnd approval is required before purchasing tickets. Currently, the province only accepts flights from Ho Chi Minh City.

Lam Dong

Similarly, Lam Dong province requires passengers to undergo a 7-day centralized quarantine at a quarantine facility located within the province or at a company's quarantine facility, and to monitor their health for the following 7 days, with testing on the first and seventh days after entering Lam Dong province. Currently, the province is only receiving flights from Thanh Hoa.

Da Nang

While no mandatory centralized quarantine is required, Da Nang City requires passengers returning from epidemic areas to self-isolate at home/their place of residence for 14 days. During this time, passengers will undergo a PCR test: the first on the first day of isolation, the second on the fourth day, the third on the seventh day, and the fourth on the fourteenth day after leaving the locality.

Currently, Da Nang only receives flights from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho, and Dak Lak.

Most other provinces and cities require passengers to self-isolate and monitor their health at home/residence for 7 days and undergo Covid-19 testing one to two times, such as Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, and Nghe An.

In addition to local regulations on medical quarantine, air passengers must also comply with regulations from the Ministry of Transport. Specifically, passengers must have received all doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (Green Card on the Electronic Health Book/PC-COVID or a certificate of full vaccination issued by a competent authority, with the last dose administered at least 14 days prior) or have recovered from Covid-19 within the past 6 months prior to returning to their locality (with a discharge certificate/certificate of recovery; and a negative Covid-19 test result within 72 hours before boarding the plane).

Passengers must declare their health status; complete a COVID-19 prevention commitment form during check-in; and refrain from flying if they have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat, etc. On the plane, passengers must wear masks, sanitize their hands, and minimize contact.

During their stay, guests must adhere to the 5K guidelines, avoid crowded places, proactively inform local authorities where they reside, and self-monitor their health or self-isolate at their residence according to the specific regulations of each locality regarding disease prevention measures.
