On the night of October 5, under the sparkling lights of Ho Chi Minh City,Arrival From Sweden, the world's most successful band performing ABBA music, has kicked off the "The Music of ABBA" tour in Vietnam, bringing a night of music full of emotion and nostalgia.
But not only was it a night of melodies, the show also had a strong cultural exchange when Swedish artists specially wore traditional Vietnamese ao dai to perform. This image not only honored the beauty of Vietnamese culture but also created a special connection between the artists and the audience, making the show profound and unforgettable.
Arrival From Sweden in Ao Dai
Established in 1995,Arrival From Swedenhas toured over 70 countries and collaborated with over 100 orchestras, including the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) in performances in Vietnam. Featuring Drumset Artist Åke Sundqvist, former ABBA member, each performance brings authenticity and strong emotions.
ABBA was a Swedish pop group that rose to global fame in the 1980s, with hits like “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” and “Happy New Year.” Although the original members no longer perform,Arrival From Swedenrecognized as the official legacy band of ABBA, ensuring that the music and performance style of the legendary band are faithfully recreated. They even received special support from two ABBA members, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, when they were given the unreleased song “Just a Notion” in 1999. This song was later re-released by ABBA in 2021 on the album Voyage.
Arrival From Sweden is recognized as the official successor band to ABBA, ensuring the true musical quality and performance style of the legendary band.

Each location promises to bring a memorable music night, where the audience can immerse themselves in the endless music space and immerse themselves in captivating melodies.
On this tour,Arrival From Swedencollaborated with 70 artists of SPO to create a unique concert space, where the timeless melodies of ABBA are recreated through the orchestra and talented artists. In particular, besides the music, the program also organized an auction of ABBA-related memorabilia, such as musical instruments and vintage vinyl records, giving fans the opportunity to own iconic items.
Also on this occasion, 18 members of the band from Sweden had an interesting travel experience in Ho Chi Minh City.
The "The Music of ABBA" tour is also part of a series of events celebrating 55 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Sweden, organized by the Hanoi Opera House, SPO, and VietShow with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The tour also has a profound humanitarian meaning when the band and the Organizing Committee did not forget to express gratitude and honor the friendship between the two countries. The event is not just a simple music night but also a message about the strong, long-lasting bond between Vietnam and Sweden, conveyed through music - a language without borders, connecting music lovers' hearts anywhere.
