The official document states that, according to the plan, the opening ceremony of the 2020 National Tourism Year - Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh was scheduled to take place on February 22, 2020. However, due to the complex developments of the acute respiratory disease caused by the new strain of coronavirus, which directly affects all aspects of life, economy, and society in general, and the tourism industry in particular, the opening ceremony will be held at a more appropriate time when the pneumonia outbreak caused by the novel coronavirus is under control.

The 2020 National Tourism Year, themed "Hoa Lu - The Thousand-Year-Old Ancient Capital," is a significant event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, featuring over 100 activities throughout the year.
