Hoi An has once again been mentioned by international media in lists of ideal destinations in terms of both scenic beauty and travel costs.

The leading UK financial firm, Post Office, conducted a survey called "Holiday Money" to create a ranking of the most affordable travel destinations. Southeast Asia had two locations on this list: Hoi An (Vietnam) and Bali (Indonesia).

The results show that the cost of a day trip in Hoi An is approximately £58.39 (VND 1.87 million), which is higher than the cost on the resort island of Bali - £55.01 (VND 1.76 million).
