Hoi An City People's Committee has decided to reopen tour guiding and tourism activities to gradually restore the tourism industry and related economic and service sectors after a long period of being seriously affected by the pandemic.
Accordingly, from November 15, Hoi An will reorganize activities on pedestrian streets and non-motorized vehicles, night streets, and guided tours in Hoi An ancient town, Thanh Ha pottery village, Tra Que vegetable village, Bay Mau coconut forest historical site, and Cu Lao Cham.
To stimulate tourism, Hoi An also decided to reduce 50% of entrance fees to the old town and traditional craft villages; organize cultural and artistic activities, events, and attractive festivals to serve the entertainment needs of people and tourists...

Immediately after the Government allowed the pilot reception of international visitors on November 2, Quang Nam province completed the plan to welcome international visitors as follows:
Phase 1(from November to December 2021): Quang Nam is one of 5 localities selected to pilot welcoming international visitors under package tours, through charter flights and international commercial flights in selected areas and tourist service facilities.
Quang Nam province "chooses the right place to entrust" tourist areas, destinations and tourism service providers to welcome international visitors, including: Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Temple Complex, Hoiana Complex Resort, TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An Resort, Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An, VinWonders Nam Hoi An, Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An and a number of transportation and travel agencies in the province.
Phase 2(from January 2022): Expand the scope of welcoming international tourists connecting destinations through charter flights and regular international flights. Tourists can participate in tourism programs combining destinations in 05 localities in phase 1 after completing the tourism program at the first destination within 7 days. In Quang Nam, expand the selection of tourist areas, attractions, service providers to ensure conditions to welcome international tourists, hotels have decided to establish quarantine areas to receive arrivals.
My Son Sanctuary is also piloting to welcome guests on package tours from November 2021.
Phase 3:Fully reopen to the international tourist market. The start date of phase 3 will be based on the actual Covid-19 epidemic situation and on the assessment of the results of welcoming international tourists in the first 2 phases.
The plan also outlines requirements for international tourists. Accordingly, visitors must have a certificate of full vaccination within 14 days and no more than 12 months from the date of departure or a certificate of recovery. The time from hospital discharge to the date of departure must not exceed 06 months. Have a negative test result using the RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method within 72 hours before departure. Have health insurance or travel insurance that guarantees coverage for Covid-19 treatment with a minimum liability of 50,000 USD.
After completing the tour program (minimum 7 days), if tourists need to stay in Vietnam to visit relatives, they must register in advance with the travel agency to support the procedures for handing over guests to their locality and carry out medical supervision according to current regulations.
