Quang Nam province began welcoming domestic tourists from the end of October.

This information was released at an online conference discussing solutions for reopening to domestic and international tourists in Quang Nam province, held on the morning of October 21st. Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, said that the locality has issued a plan to reopen to tourists in four phases.

Accordingly,phase 1Starting in late October and November, tourism workers receive at least one vaccine dose after 14 days. During this time, the province welcomes tourists residing in green zones (level 1), yellow zones (level 2), and orange zones (level 3) in Quang Nam, as well as from neighboring provinces and cities. The welcoming of tourists is linked to safe disease control procedures to prepare for the Christmas and Tet (Lunar New Year) seasons and to welcome tourists from other provinces and cities across the country.

Phase 2From the beginning of December, when all tourism workers have received both doses of the vaccine after 14 days, the province will pilot welcoming tourists from level 1, 2, and 3 localities nationwide using a "tourism bubble" model. Tourists will participate in closed tours through travel companies, adhering to safe disease control and prevention procedures.

Phase 3From the beginning of January 2022, the province expanded its services to welcome residents of levels 1, 2, and 3 for sightseeing, tourism, and relaxation. Visitors can choose to join closed-loop tours organized by travel companies or travel independently, selecting services in accordance with safe disease prevention and control procedures. Tour/combo programs, sightseeing, tourism, and entertainment activities for domestic tourists from provinces and cities nationwide will also be implemented.

Guests over 18 years of age must have received all doses of the vaccine or have recovered from the illness. Guests under 18 years of age must have a negative test result within the prescribed timeframe.

Phase 4This is when Quang Nam is granted permission by the competent authority to receive international tourists. Quang Nam has submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister to allow the reception of international tourists.

Domestic tourists visiting Quang Nam must comply with the 5K regulations, have a QR code, and must use the QR code when participating in tourism services. Tourists exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, fatigue, sore throat, or difficulty breathing need to be tested.

Quang Nam encourages tourists from within the province and neighboring provinces and cities to use the services of tourism businesses located in the green, yellow, and orange zones from phase 1. Tourists from other provinces and cities are encouraged to choose all-inclusive, closed-loop tour packages organized by travel companies.
