The Quang Nam 2025 International Tourism Survey and Workshop Program, held from March 6-9, 2025, attracted the participation of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration; leaders of the tourism industry from several provinces and cities; tourism experts; several international delegates: Mr. Ly Xuong Can - Vietnam's Tourism Ambassador to South Korea, Mr. Peter Carter - Mayor of Port Hedland, Australia; representatives from the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI); several foreign consulates in Vietnam such as China, Russia, and Laos; airlines; and nearly 250 delegates, tourism businesses, and travel agencies from India, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
Quang Nam International Travel Conference 2025: “Hoi An – My Son – Dong Giang Sky Gate Heritage Route: Where Nature and Culture Harmonize”
At the Quang Nam International Tourism Conference 2025, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated: "Quang Nam is an important destination in Vietnamese tourism with many world cultural heritage sites such as Hoi An, My Son, Cu Lao Cham, and the Bai Choi art form, along with 19 national intangible cultural heritage sites... The province possesses beautiful coastlines, historical relics, national parks, and outstanding specialties such as Ngoc Linh ginseng. Although Quang Nam tourism is developing strongly in the East, the tourism potential in the West, especially the value of local culture, has not yet been fully exploited. The Quang Nam International Tourism Conference 2025 will be an opportunity to discuss solutions for tourism development, announce the East-West connecting route of the province, and build a green Quang Nam tourism brand on the world tourism map."

In addition, the Director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that the workshop had implemented a survey program on the "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Heritage Route: Where Nature Harmonizes with Culture," attracting nearly 200 delegates including tourism experts, travel agencies, and domestic and international media outlets. The tour program offered opportunities to experience and explore unique destinations along the route. Through this practical survey of this new tourism product, it is expected to attract an increasing number of domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam.
With the aim of creating a forum for exchange to promote tourism development in Quang Nam province in general and the western mountainous region in particular, the workshop will discuss, identify challenges, and propose strategic solutions to diversify tourism products, attract domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam, and simultaneously announce and introduce a tourism route connecting East to West (Quang Nam): Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang, expanding tourism space, reducing pressure on heritage sites, and connecting diverse cultures to attract visitors.
Some key activities within the framework of the International Tourism Conference - Quang Nam 2025, held on March 8, 2025 at Dong Giang Sky Gate Ecotourism Area, include: (1) Announcing the Decision and awarding the Green Tourism certificate to Dong Giang Sky Gate Ecotourism Area; (2) Announcing the Decision approving the transportation route on the Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Sky Gate Heritage Route; (3) Awarding the record certificate for the longest covered corridor in Vietnam shaped like a dragon crossing the mountain; (4) Organizing an exhibition space for typical tourism products and OCOP products of Quang Nam province; (5) Signing memoranda of understanding for linkage and cooperation in tourism development in Quang Nam and (6) Announcing the new tourism development corridor of Quang Nam province: "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Heritage Route: Where nature harmonizes with culture" - this is a special activity for the province to strengthen the attraction of strategic investors to this route, at the same time promote products and attract tourists.
Through this program of on-site surveys of new tourism products, Quang Nam will attract an increasing number of domestic and international tourists.
In addition to the main program, the Quang Nam International Travel Conference 2025 also includes a survey program on the "Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Heritage Route: Where Nature and Culture Harmonize" for tourism experts and domestic and international travel agencies from March 6-9, 2025.
This tour program offers the opportunity to experience and explore unique destinations along the route, including the peaceful beauty of Tra Que Vegetable Village – recognized as the best tourist village by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) in 2024; a sunset boat trip on the Thu Bon River; visits to two World Heritage sites: Hoi An Ancient Town – a land where Eastern and Western cultures converge and intertwine, and My Son Sanctuary – a masterpiece of Cham culture with the mysterious Apsara dance; and exploration of Dong Giang Heaven's Gate, immersing oneself in nature – a place where a system of 25 natural waterfalls, unique architectural spaces, and traditional cultural values of the Co Tu ethnic minority in the vast mountain forests converge.
