On the afternoon of November 7th, Hoiana Resort & Golf held an opening ceremony for its system of 8 pickleball practice courts. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tao Viet Hai - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, Mr. Jan David - Founder of Pickleball Global and the World Pickleball Championship, along with representatives from pickleball clubs in Quang Nam and Da Nang, local government agencies, and media outlets.
The launch of the Hoiana Pickleball Court marks a significant step in expanding and developing sports activities, as well as enhancing the experiences offered to both domestic and international visitors at Hoiana Resort & Golf.

At the ceremony, Mr. Jan David stated that, with its international-standard facilities, the Pickleball Court at Hoiana Resort & Golf is qualified to host the World Pickleball Championship finals, scheduled for January 2025. This is one of the major Pickleball tournaments with multiple qualifying rounds held in various countries. The finals will bring together top players from China, India, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong (China). This sporting event promises to deliver thrilling competitions at the Hoiana Pickleball Court.

Mr. Tao Viet Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, stated that pickleball is a sport with great potential to contribute to economic and social development. He hopes that attractive sporting events and activities can become a unique highlight to attract more tourists to Quang Nam.

Within the framework of the event, Hoiana Resort & Golf also officially signed a sponsorship and talent development agreement for Pickleball with Sophia Phuong Anh – the youngest professional Pickleball player in Vietnam. Despite being only 16 years old, Sophia Phuong Anh has achieved many remarkable accomplishments, including two gold medals at the 2024 World Pickleball Championships held in Bali, Indonesia last October.
In addition to experiencing the international standard driving range, at Hoiana Pickleball Court, guests will also have the opportunity to participate in professional pickleball training programs organized by ePGA - the Pickleball & Golf Academy. To celebrate its opening, Hoiana Resort & Golf is currently organizing friendly pickleball matches every two weeks, with free registration and many attractive prizes.
