AnnaBơ Nam Hội An is more than just a simple homestay. For founder Tran Vu Hai and his partner throughout the development journey, Minh Tien, it's also a "second home" for the whole family. The idea for AnnaBơ was conceived in 2016 when the two brothers returned to Cua Khe village and discovered a series of abandoned single-story houses near the sea. The main reason was the harsh natural conditions: sea winds, storms, and erosion caused residents to gradually move inland, leaving behind a coastal area with few human footprints but full of potential.
In the eyes of many, this place might just be a forgotten land. But for Hai, it's the starting point for a journey full of challenges and love. He renovated one of the abandoned houses, preserving its original rustic structure while adding modern amenities to serve tourists. From an old tiled roof and faded walls, the house has been revived not in the direction of "luxurious architecture," but truly as a "family seaside home" that is intimate, simple, and full of warmth.
Homestay right by the beach
The name "AnnaBơ" is a combination of the English name and the affectionate nickname of Mr. Hai's eldest daughter. Anna is the English name, and "Bơ" is the sweet and endearing nickname at home, becoming a symbol of the freshness, youthfulness, and loving, close-knit spirit of this space. The name, when spoken, brings a smile to anyone's face – like a gentle greeting from the seaside.
"We want guests to feel the warmth and familiarity of returning to their own home, not just a typical resort. For us, the greatest joy is seeing each guest able to prepare delicious meals for their loved ones in the fully equipped kitchen; that's truly a luxurious experience," Minh Tien shared with Travellive.

Spanning nearly 1,000 square meters and boasting a prime beachfront location, AnnaBơ features 7 bedrooms, accommodating up to 16 guests. Each room has large windows that let in sea breezes and natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. From the grounds to the furnishings, the design aims for a sense of familiarity, like being at home, where guests can walk barefoot on the rustic tiled floors, cook their own meals, or sit on the veranda watching the sunset over the sea.

The main clientele here are families with young children, seeking a quiet, green space where their kids can freely play on the sand, run around under the coconut trees, and explore nature safely. Building a seaside house is not simply about creating a beautiful space. For Minh Tien, who was directly involved in the construction of AnnaBơ from the beginning, this journey came with many challenges. Sea breezes and high humidity are two factors that quickly erode building materials. Therefore, instead of using iron or complex electronic equipment, he prioritized durable, environmentally friendly materials such as wood from old ships, traditional gas stoves, or mechanical washing machines – simple choices that offer long-lasting effectiveness and easy maintenance.
Even the interior design adheres to the principles of authenticity and simplicity, avoiding excessive ornate details and trendy decor, prioritizing a warm, lively atmosphere as if the house has been there for a long time, just waiting for someone to return.
