In the solemn and spirited atmosphere of the evening of April 18th, the resounding and powerful shouts of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - became the rallying cry, guiding the magnificent forces to begin marching down Le Duan Street towards the Reunification Hall in the rehearsal for the parade and march.
Participating in this important parade rehearsal were 25 contingents from the armed forces and militia, along with 13 contingents from the People's Public Security forces. The event was honored to be welcomed and directly supervised by two high-ranking leaders: General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Political Bureau and Minister of National Defense, and General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Public Security. They kindly encouraged and presented meaningful gifts, demonstrating their deep concern for the morale and preparation of the participating forces.
This marks a significant milestone as it is the first time such a large-scale parade rehearsal and practice session has been held right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, after several previous occasions at Bien Hoa Airport in Dong Nai Province. This change of location has attracted considerable attention and sparked excitement among the city's residents.
On the evening of April 18th, the comprehensive rehearsal program for the parade and march in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) was held.

At exactly 8 PM, following the signal, the marching contingents began their route from Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, proceeding along Le Duan Street towards the Reunification Hall. Their strong, uniform strides reflected the profound pride of the Vietnamese people, their rhythmic steps synchronized with the resounding, spirited shouts of the contingent leaders. Immediately following, the entire contingent responded with a resounding, decisive chorus of shouts from all the soldiers, creating a majestic and moving sound.
Their steps were perfectly synchronized after many days of training.

The solemn parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country will officially take place on this historic Le Duan street, in front of the Reunification Hall Square.
The procession started from Nguyen Binh Khiem Street (District 1), followed along Le Duan Street (District 1), and passed the Reunification Hall.
This is the first time a comprehensive parade and march rehearsal has been held in Ho Chi Minh City, following previous events at Bien Hoa Airport in Dong Nai province. The event attracted considerable public attention.

From 6 PM onwards, both sides of the road were packed with people from the city and surrounding areas who came to witness and express their overwhelming emotions and profound pride in the glorious history of the nation.

Following this crucial rehearsal, the participating forces will undergo two more thorough preliminary and final rehearsals to ensure the best possible preparation for the official parade, scheduled for the morning of April 30th. The 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification will bring together 48 parade contingents, with the participation of approximately 13,000 people, promising a spectacular event that will deeply engrave in the hearts of every Vietnamese citizen a glorious milestone in history.
